What is a "Business" Notebook?

A notebook computer that the manufacturer is providing a business customer (possibly at a premium price) - at the present time this will probably mean that the computer will come with Windows Vista Business, WindowsXP and if Vista Business possibly the license to downgrade from Vista Business to XP

The fact that Windows Vista Business has fewer functions and programs but cost more than Home Premium tends to suggest that there is more to this than just a marketing ploy on the part of Microsoft.

Microsoft did an excellent job in the past convincing businesses that they needed to run WindowsXP Pro for their businesses - when the differences were so small that most users would not know the difference! Sure there were things in XP Pro that were missing from XP Home - like the backup program (that not many used anyway - as most businesses have corporate solutions for data backup. It also lacked IIS - which is probably a good reason why businesses would have been better served by XP Home!
