Getting DVD43 to work on a 64 bit Operating System

The procedure has been moved as it represents many hours of research that I have performed with Windows 7 64 bit, Vista64 and Virtual Machines - specifically (but not exclusively) with the goal of getting DVD43 to run in a 64 bit environment.
I was successful, and I have a number of solutions depending on your hardware situation. I have prepared a simple Step-by-Step instruction on how to configure DVD43 on a 64 bit o/s Windows computer.

My solutions provide an answer to run DVD43 in both Vista 64 and Windows 7 64 bit editions. Please read the protocol for requesting this information.

What version operating system AND its version (Vista or Windows 7 - Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate) you are running also the processor used in your computer, The microprocessor and the version of Windows will determine what you can and cannot do.
