Alternatives to aircrack and other tools

This is a short index of some of the tools that the webmaster has come accross in pursuit of the investigation into WiFi "hacking" tools

The sectools dot org website gives a pretty comprhensive listing of the tools as they know them. At the present time it is not know what the motivation of the sectools site is: are they just promoting themselves as "experts-for-hire" not that there is anything wrong with that!

A list in no particular order (from the sectools ws and other sources):

It is interesting to note that aircrack is not at the top of the sectools list. It is presumed that the interest that the webmaster sees is due to the fact of the "myth" that a netbook (particularly the eeePC) is a "natural" for wireless hacking - this has seemed to have shifted somewhat of late and ALL Netbooks seem to be fair-game for that activity. It that regard it is a pity that Microsoft have managed to re-proliferate in this market-place. Something that is even more intrenched as Windows 7 is shipping on Netbooks.
