February saw a "stand-off" (maybe a little strong! - a debate shall we say) between 2 VPN companies and some of their subscribers, The Muse being dragged into the debate, the postings were removed from the blog and the content on this website have been revised. Some of the content will go back, as it has been archived! It should be noted that Tempusfugit has corresponded with a number of technical staff (at the BBC) involved in the production and distribution of iPlayer.
There is no intention of making any money out of this website, so I can say pretty much what I like about anyone I want, as long as I am not libelous! I don't think that I am in most cases, although I might get hold of the wrong end of the stick sometimes. When I do, I try and correct my statements - more often than not, I will get bored with the subject and possibly remove it and references to it.
The BBC have stated that iPlayer will be moved to the Adobe AIR platform. Experiments with Geo-IP circumvention continue, although I am currently using an VPN as well. A review of the usage of a VPN connection is being prepared, but there will be an attempt to be impartial with respect to the companies that provide these services - they either work or they do not - they, like proxies, can still be blocked by the program providers.
This site has been changed dramatically over the first months of 2009.
More pages have been removed some relating to Acer and most of the pages directly referencing DVD43 and processor specifications (in addtion to the blog postings started in February). I have started a review of some of the work that I have performed on RRBACKUPS (How many times do I have to revisit this topic?)
Cable TV was cancelled mid February and I received a DCMA type
notification on behalf of Columbia Pictures after a (maybe) inappropriate and un-secured download. Torrenting and
Torrent Anonymity is now being investigated.
Currently TorrentPrivacy is being evaluated and the review will be initially placed in a
subscription area - this may change if there is a sufficient number of requests.
Some of the searches that have been observed in the logs will be added to appropriate index pages and possibly with links to the pages on this site where more information can be found.

Pages for seeding: "Keeping up with the Jones'" --- Okay, enough fanning - come on Google, spider away.
Canon Pages on Tempusfugit - Raw Processing of digital photographs
I am now on day 10 of a 7 day trial of TorrentPrivacy - actually, I should have read the file licence.txt when I downloaded the software - it does say that there is an automatic renewal.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee and the future of technology. Michael Giest and the Canadian DMCA (CDCMA) -
It seems that I have allowed myself to come off-line on this issue of late! I started this page in June 2008
and then seemed to move onto other things. Having watched Michael (from a link from his blog - see the new page on
Tempusfugit) on an appearance on TVO and a quite lengthy piece on the subject - the issue needs reviving.
In fact that whole issue with Network Neutrality and the legislatory measures concerning the "digital age"
need to be continued.
