Did I make too much of XP-Mode in Windows 7? ---- Judging by the number of hits from those looking for information regarding how to determine whether their equipment supports it and how to enable VT or AMD-V (SVM) in BIOS it would appear not. It will, however, remain to be a minority interest and the vast majority of computer users will be none the wiser. This website will continue to post details on equipment that does support these technologies and information on how to use XP-Mode and a virtual environment.
My Windows 7 box should be up and operational by now. I am not quite sure what the true merit or significance that being able to run in a "secure virtual environment" - however, it seems to be of interest to some! It certainly is gaining some visits from those looking for DVD43 for 64 Bit
