Social Networking - How it looked in 2009 *******

Is it all it is cracked up to be?
Def'n: MyTwitFace - a consolidation of time-wasted on the Internet.

When I first started writing about Social Networking it was relatively new. Since that time things have moved on, we now have "micro-blogging" (Twitter).

Issues regarding privacy and self promotion are those that are of interest here. The participation in such forums is NOT of interest to the webmaster - comment on them and the mechanisms by which they operate are.

This is not an exhuastive list and more will be added as time goes on. They will be linked from this page. The role that RSS and aggregators such as Digg and Technorati (maybe a bad choice of words here) will be added as research is completed.

The webmaster has opened accounts with Facebook and MySpace to see what all the fuss was about. To be frank, it is pretty boring!

****** And now, in 2010 - We have Google Buzz!

The first thing that I did when invisted to Buzz was turn it off!

This was before any of the privacy concerns that were raised - it just didn't seem right???????
